Disability Support Worker

NDIS Worker Screening Check

Current National Police Clearance

Working with children’s check

Current First Aid Certificate and CPR

Valid Driver’s Licence
-
NDIS support worker orientation module Certificate
-
Fully insured vehicle (to be used for work purposes)

Two professional referees.
Preferable Qualifications
-
Cert 3 or higher in Disability services or Individual support or similar
-
Medication Assistance
-
Manual Handling
Key Responsibilities
-
Provide person-centered support to clients of Bright Access that is responsive to the changing needs of the person.

Reliable, proactive and confident working with people with disabilities
-
Willingness to provide personal care and individualised support to clients
-
Understanding of physical limitations and a safe and sensible approach
-
Work cooperatively as a team member.

Excellent communication, comprehension and interpersonal skills
-
A detailed and thorough approach to record keeping
-
Having strong work ethics and enjoy being a team player
-
Understanding of cultural competency and respect for an individual’s diverse cultural values.

Knowledge of and awareness of NDIS
